If your commercial roof is showing signs of aging but is structurally sound, a restoration could be the perfect solution. Worried about what to expect during the restoration process? Our roof restoration process happens in 3 steps:
-
Step 1 - Clean
Our roof restoration process begins by thoroughly cleaning your roof surface to prepare the aging membrane for our silicone adhesion. This two-fold process involves treating the roof with a sodium hypochlorite solution to eliminate organic growth that would otherwise sabotage the restoration process. After your roof has been treated, we rinse the surface with a pressure washer to remove any further debris.
-
Step 2 - Repair
Now that the roof surface is clean, we can perform our repairs of critical seams, flashings, and penetrations that will ensure a leak-free system through the entirety of your warranty. This process will vary depending on your commercial roof system, but it generally involves preventive maintenance and repairs that work in tandem with your coating to defer roof replacement as long as possible.
-
Step 3 - Restore
Now that the membrane has been prepped, we can begin the final stage of the roof restoration process... coating. Our coatings can be applied with a roller or by spray application. Depending on the commercial membrane (rusty metal, some asphalt), a primer may be required in order to properly adhere to your existing membrane. We use a two-coat system that guarantees uniform thickness and meets our manufacturer's warranty specifications.
Did You Know?...All Legacy Roof Restoration's include our own ten-year service warranty to provide absolute peace-of-mind for our commercial clients.
